History and Statistics

Much of the original algorithms and technology for the LucidDB column store was developed at Broadbase software, which was acquired by Kana in 2001. LucidEra acquired the IP to the database, and rewrote the core pieces to run in Eigenbase frameworks. Eigenbase frameworks and LucidDB have been a multi year joint development effort between multiple data management startups.
