DynamoBI provides all our software, in source form, under an OSI approved license. No fine print. Our license types may vary but our commitment to collaborating with community, customers, and partners in an open way remains stubbornly open.

Open Source

We collaborate on many projects, and run our own -> this means there are many licenses involved. The entirety of LucidDB, including features provided in our customer-only builds, are always entirely available as an OSI approved open source license in source code form.
JDBC Drivers

LGPL v 2.0
You may use our JDBC drivers in both open source and commercial products according to the terms of the LGPL.

LucidDB Server, DynamoWS, DynamoADMIN

GPL v 2.0
You may use/distribute the LucidDB server side components in accordance with the terms of the GPL.

Thirdparty Dependencies

We’ve leveraged the existing work of many excellent open source projects.  They have varied license types, but no required library is ‘viral’ in nature.  Typically it’s Apache/LGPL/BSD.  Some plugins (which customers install themselves) include thirdparty GPL or proprietary libraries.

DynamoBI customers receive all LucidDB software above under a commercial license that includes support and updates.
